Friends of Bere Regis School – FOBRS

For many years now, the PTA (fundraising team) at Bere Regis Primary School has been known as FOBRS (Friends of Bere Regis School).

The team raises much needed money for the school throughout the year so that we are able to provide enrichment activities e.g. educational trips and visits at a much reduced rate to parents. They also purchase resources that we would otherwise not be able to afford e.g. ukuleles for music, coding equipment and playground toys. FOBRS also run fun events for the children such as film nights and the annual Halloween disco.  

In recent years, we have been grateful to FOBRS for supporting our Manga High subscription, Read Write, Inc. resources, and educational workshops e.g. space dome.  

FOBRS raise money by holding events such as the Summer and Christmas fayres, car boot sales, event nights e.g. race nights and charity dinners, selling refreshments at sports day and organising cake sales.

As a registered charity, they also have an Amazon smile account, which means you can help raise money for the school every time you buy from Amazon

Simply log into  https://smile.amazon.co.uk  and select Bere Regis School as your chosen charity.  Once you have set it up just remember to always log onto Amazon through the Amazon Smile icon and shop as you would normally.  You will receive exactly the same prices and deals as the regular amazon site, but through Amazon Smile, a portion of the purchase price will be donated to FOBRS.  

As a parent or carer, you automatically qualify to be a member of FOBRS and the whole school community is always encouraged to suggest ideas, help and support fundraising efforts and events in any way they can.  

Being part of FOBRS is a great opportunity to meet new people, give something to our school community and have fun!
