Lunchtime & Milk
Hot School Meals
Our hot school meals are provided by Local Food Links; offering a selection of cooked hot lunches every day. Meals are booked via an online ordering system. Once registered on the online system you will be able to order weekly, monthly, or as and when needed. Orders need to be placed by midnight on the Monday of the week prior to service (7 days in advance).
For those with special dietary requirements, please contact the school office and we can liaise with Local Food Links.
Children in Reception, year 1 and year 2 are entitled to a free meal under the governments Universal Free School Meal scheme.
Some families may be eligible for Free School Meals if they meet the criteria for funding; applications should be made online via the Dorset Council website. Further information can also be found on the website. If your child is in Reception, Year 1 or Year 2 and they meet the funding criteria please also complete an application.
Where applicable the charge for a school meal is £2.50, this is paid at the time of ordering.
Packed Lunch
Children are also welcome to bring a packed lunch to school. If you choose to send your child with a packed lunch please remember, we are a nut free school.
Milk
As part of the School Foods Standard, lower fat milk must be available for drinking at least once a day during school hours. We work with Cool Milk to offer this to the children in our school.
Children under 5 enjoy free school milk. Once they turn 5 children can continue to receive milk at a subsidised cost. You can register your child to receive milk by visiting the Cool Milk website.
Your child can also receive free school milk if they are over 5 and entitled Free School Meal funding.
